Was alcohol a factor in death of alleged manslaughter victim?

Was alcohol a factor in the death of a man who died two days after allegedly being dragged down a flight of stairs in 2016?

Defense attorney Chris Orriss, who represents Wilmer G. Ruiz-Martinez, 34, of West New York, said he has hired a forensic pathologist to provide a report on the death of Leny Antonio Lainez-Hernandez.

Authorities said Ruiz-Martinez admitted pulling the victim down a flight of stairs inside a West New York building on Christmas Day 2016. A criminal complaint for the original charge of aggravated assault stated that police had recovered video of the attack.
