Police in New Jersey say a man attempted to run over a police officer while fleeing the scene of a domestic dispute.
Wayne Police Capt. Laurence Martin says police responded Tuesday night to an alleged domestic dispute. The Record reports when police arrived, the suspect attempted to run over a police officer trying to stop the man from leaving.
The officer was not injured.
Police say the suspect hit a police vehicle while fleeing and was later caught in Fairfield after crashing into another vehicle.
