Road Rage Suspect Caught, Burglar Caught by Denville Township Police

Denville Police: Burglar Caught, Road Rage Fighter Busted

A local man who broke into a township residence last week and walked off with more than $200 was caught on camera and subsequently arrested, said police.

The man, Patrick Lake, 31, faces charges of burglary, theft and criminal mischief due to the Jan. 6 incident, police said. They said he kicked in the front door of a house on Rock Ridge Road on Jan. 6 and stole about $220 in cash and loose change.

Lake “was captured via doorbell” as he left the burglarized house, said police. They said he was later found at a house in Jefferson, charged with the crimes and placed in the Morris County jail.

Police also announced the arrest of a Boonton man who, while “highly intoxicated” on Dec. 14, 2017, became engaged in a case of “road rage” fisticuffs.
