| State Aid Numbers for Parsippany School District |
State aid to the Parsippany school district for next year’s school budget is expected to be the same as this year – about $5 million.
Alison Cogan, the board’s vice president, provided the update at Thursday’s board of education meeting.
The expected state aid is about $2.6 million less than what the district would get if the state school aid formula was fully funded. The state has failed for years to fully fund schools according to its own state aid formula. New Governor Phil Murphy has promised to do so, but has not unveiled any concrete plans.
