Two Dead After Ranch Home Fire in Allamuchy

Elderly man, woman die in Allamuchy house fire

Two people are dead in a fire that gutted an Allamuchy house Wednesday night.

The victims are a man and woman described as elderly by Mayor Keith De Tombeur.

“Obviously our hearts go out to the family, the community and everyone involved in this sad state of affairs,” he said.

The ranch-style house that was gutted by the fire is on the 30 block of Mallard Drive, according to De Tombeur. The man was found near his bed and the woman was found near a door, “trying to get out,” he said.
