| NJ weather alert: Winter storm watch issued for 2 counties, with snow, ice and freezing rain on the way |
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for two New Jersey counties in advance of a storm system that could dump as much as 6 to 7 inches of snow along with a thin layer of ice over parts of the region.
The storm, which is expected to sweep across Pennsylvania and New Jersey on Wednesday, may produce 1 to 3 inches of snow — plus periods of sleet and freezing rain— in areas north of Interstate 95 and south of Interstate 80, forecasters said.
