The Wittpenn Bridge over the Hackensack River between Jersey City and Kearny was scheduled to close late last night and will remain closed through 5:30 a.m. Monday, state Department of Transportation officials said.
The Route 7 bridge is being closed for work on the $480 million project to replace the aging span. Route 7 will be closed between Fish House Road in Kearny and Routes 1&9 Truck/Route 139 in Jersey City….
