Reported gas leak leads to evacuation of Warren County condos
A Warren County condo building was evacuated Thursday after a reported gas leak from a car crash.
Crews were dispatched around 12:30 p.m. to a building at 2017 Brookfield Glen Drive in White Township, part of The Glen condo complex.
A car in the parking garage on the building’s first floor struck a gas meter, and there was a subsequent report of residents smelling natural gas, according to emergency radio reports.
The building was evacuated, and firefighters checked the residences and opened windows.
Elizabethtown Gas responded to the scene and shut the gas supply off to the building.
Emergency responders cleared the scene about two hours after being called.
