Hackensack Man Flees Police After Chase, Still At Large

Fairfield Police Seek Hackensack Man After Motor Vehicle Pursuit

The Fairfield Police Department is actively seeking information on the whereabouts of Tomas Deleone, 22, of Hackensack, who has an active arrest warrant as of Jan. 30 charging him with eluding police in a motor vehicle, resisting arrest by flight and providing false information to a law enforcement officer.

At approximately 12:40 a.m. on Tuesday, Fairfield Officer Daniel Moran initiated a motor vehicle stop on Route 46 of a vehicle that clocked doing 70 miles per hour (MPH) in a 50 MPH zone.

The driver, later identified as Deleone, told the officer that he did not have a driver’s license and was also unable to produce credentials for the vehicle, according to police. At this time, Sgt. David Proctor arrived as back up.
